The California Association of Renaissance Educators was founded in 1996 by Richard Parkhouse, a number of California educators, and Jostens reps, who desired to establish a strong coalition of Renaissance schools, such that the resulting entity could reach out the surrounding schools and communities and urge them to adopt the philosophy of Jostens Renaissance and Renaissance's founder, Larry Biddle.

Throughout the State of California, schools have partnered with CARE and, as a result, have had a unique opportunity to work with one another to recognize the unrecognized heroes of their campuses, emphasize the honor of engaging in teaching and learning, and bolster the regard for the dignified ceremony of graduation. We hold conferences throughout the year in Southern and Northern California to facilitate these aims. Additionally, our partner businesses and schools gladly help each other in pursuit of these aforementioned goals. Will your partner with us and create a cultural revolution on your campus?
